FLOWER DUO LOOP feat ALICE

FLOWER DUO LOOP Daniele Corradi: guitar + loop station Giuseppe Fiori: bass guitar Alice Serati: drums loop + drums live Recorded @ Daninni Home Studio, 5/1/2011 www.myspace.com www.myspace.com The word "loop" has two different senses when used in reference to knots. A loop is one of the fundamental structures used to tie knots. Specifically, it is a full circle formed by passing the working end over itself. See knot terminology description image. A loop is a knot used to create a closed circle in a line. An electronic circuit is composed of individual electronic components, such as resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors and diodes, connected by conductive wires or traces through which electric current can flow. The combination of components and wires allows various simple and complex operations to be performed: signals can be amplified, computations can be performed, and data can be moved from one place to another.[1] Circuits can be constructed of discrete components connected by individual pieces of wire, but today it is much more common to create interconnections by photolithographic techniques on a laminated substrate (a printed circuit board or PCB) and solder the components to these interconnections to create a finished circuit. In an Integrated Circuit or IC, the components and interconnections are formed on the same substrate, typically a semiconductor such as silicon or (less commonly) gallium arsenide.[2] Breadboards, perfboards or stripboards are common ...

Code Free DVD VCR PAL NTSC Combo

!: Code Free DVD VCR PAL NTSC Combo

A code free DVD VCR Combo is a three-in-one device and combines DVD, VCR, and MP3 player in one, saving both time and space. You will not have to plug on different gadgets for different purposes like viewing a movie, listening to a music etc. The added advantage is that the combo costs less than the combined prices of all the gadgets taken together. Moreover, there is no standard specification barrier here. With a code free DVD VCR combo you can play video tapes, DVDs and CDs procured from anywhere in the world. It means even if you are using NTSC as your standard, which is a normal practice in the United States, you can play DVDs using PAL or SECAM as their standards. This would not have been possible in your earlier gadgets of DVD players or VCRs.

The system has many new features, not featured in ordinary TVs, DVD players or VCRs available in the market. Some of the main features are:

o It can play any DVD, VCD, Audio CD, and VHS tapes.

o Multitasking is possible since you can watch a DVD while recording a TV program on the VCR.

o Automatic clock set up and channel surfing capabilities.

o Buttons for different modes are easy to handle.

o Remote controlled DVD and VCR decks.

o Composite S-Video and output programs for optimization of connectivity and performance.

o If DVD is not copy protected with Macro-vision, it can record DVD to VHS.

o Provides for child lock.

o Advantage of having RF inputs and outputs so that it can connect with all types of new and old TVs.

Apart from these general features of the Combo, the device has certain special features relating to DVD and VCR too.
.
Followings are the features that make the combo all-DVD compatible:

o A 10-bit video digital-analog converter that transforms digital signals to analog signal and vice versa facilitating transmission.

o A 96 KHz with 24-bit source play back system.

o A 27 MHZ advanced digital filter.

o It plays back MP3 files from the CD-ROM.

o During 2x speed playback operation the audio continues without being disturbed.

o Allows DTS enhanced DVDs to be played since it has DTS digital output system installed.

For VCR compatibility, the system provides the following features:

o A Hi-Fi stereo system for maintaining high sound qualities.

o It can playback S-VHS systems better than any other standard resolution.

o Provides for VISS, a VHS Index Search System.

o Provides for Scanning.

o Has a feature for Zero return.

o Allows direct time search and blank search.

o It has four heads for superior slow motion or stop action viewing.

o Consists of 16-event, with one year timer recording.

o Consists of both a time remaining and a real time counter.

Since it is a combo, it normally comes in form of a package. The package contains not only the components but other necessary articles like the warranty and Registration card, user guide, and at times information about other bonus offers. The components in the package includes the DVD-VCR combo, RCA cable for the audio and video connections, Radio Frequency Antenna Cable, a remote control operator, and 1.5V "AA" batteries.

The final part of the set up is purely technical yet no wonders for even a layman. What you have to do is that when all the wires and cables are duly attached to the device, just turn on the device and the in built auto set up will guide you through the rest of the process. However, a few things may not be overlooked as follows:

In the pop up dialog boxes which will guide you through the process of set up, read the instructions and the information carefully, so that you don't put yourself in setting up things you don't really want.
Allow the set up at each stage adequate time to complete its operation.
It will be better if you keep some extra power generation unit available at hand like a small generator or inverter so that in case of sudden power failure, your set up process is not rudely interrupted. An untimely interruption may result in a faulty set up and problems in future.
You can refer to the user manual whenever some doubt arises in your mind. The set up process has also a simultaneous in built help process to which you can refer.

Once everything is in place and set up is complete, you are ready for using your device and watch the show. With your remote you can pause, play at 1/8th to normal speed, and you can also zoom the pictures to 4X size for fine viewing. The playback includes the A-B repeat that allows you to replay the favorite segment of your DVD or CD. There is also a Bookmark feature that allows you to come back to a particular vintage point you like most or you can play the chapters at random. The 'One Touch Recording' feature in the device makes copying the easiest job. However, this feature cannot be controlled with the remote. The feature allows you to record a DVD to a VHS tape. The record speed ranges from Super Slow (SP) to Super Long Play (SLP). Just by pushing the copy button, it is all done. The VCR supports the S-VHS recording and playback. While the ordinary VCR can playback and record only 250 lines of resolution, this combo can support 400 lines of resolution, making a big difference in the picture quality. You can also audio-dub a pre-recorded videocassette from CD, DVD, a microphone, a stereo system or even a tape deck. However, it cannot record in stereo. Moreover, the searching features like Index Marks, Blank Search, and Direct time search makes searching anything possible.

No device is without its limitations. The new combo has its limitations too. You have to go manual while recording a DVD to a VHS tape. There is no facility for stereo recording in S-VHS recording. The operations on MP3 play back are also limited as it cannot read the ID3 tags on the MP3, which allows information such as the title, artist, album, track number, or other information about the file to be stored in the file itself. While displaying the list of recorded songs, it only displays 4 to 8 characters and thus cannot display the whole title. So the track also cannot be seen unless you use the OSD on the TV which will be a somewhat unnecessary consumption of electricity and use of TV when you are listening to music only.

Despite all its limitations, the device is a great invention combining so many features in one unit. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. And if you overlook the slight inconveniences relating to MP3 players, the device may score full marks from the prospective buyers and users. Technical people might find out flaws but the average user will be happy to use this device. Many leading companies like Samsung, Toshiba, Phillips, Sony, Panasonic, and JVC are in the fray. A wide variety of models in different range of prices are available for a user to choose from.

USB, RS232, RS485, RS422 Converters - Extending the Reach of Serial Communications

!: USB, RS232, RS485, RS422 Converters - Extending the Reach of Serial Communications

When you think of RS232, RS485 or RS422, you generally think of legacy serial communication protocols that continue to be used in a surprising number of applications. When you think of fiber optics, it's more long-distance telecommunication and networking applications that come to mind. So what do those older serial protocols, or USB, have to do with fiber optics, if anything? Turns out, quite a bit. And that's why there are fiber optic media converters, for communications projects that require both technologies.

Now just to recap, the serial RS232 communication protocol uses different voltage levels with respect to ground to go point-to-point at slow speeds and over short distances, like between a computer and a printer or a scientific instrument. RS422 uses twisted pairs for faster (and bi-directional) signals over longer distances, and it uses positive and negative and positive voltages. RS485 works like RS422, but uses an addressing scheme to talk with multiple devices. Converters and adapters are used to translate between computers and the various RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, TTL, USB and Ethernet devices. So far it's all strands and wires and making sure the leads are connected properly.

Now where do fiber optics come into play? That would be in situations where the serial communication protocols' speed and distance limitations interfere with a project. Serial communication was never meant for some of the complex applications the technology is being used today, and it has its inherent limitations: Large voltage swings, the need for positive and negative signals, and signal interference are all issues. In many applications, these issues can be addressed with fiber optics.

Fiber optics use light instead of electricity to pass along signals. This means higher speed, higher bandwidth, and inherent resistance to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. Fiber optics is therefore a solution for systems where serial data protocols are used to communicate with remote locations. How do electrical wires communicate with optical fibers? Via fiber optics converters.

Beyond the obvious physical limitations of the various serial protocols, there are no hard rules as to when the use of fiber optics becomes advantageous or imperative. In many systems, copper-based connections exist side-by-side with fiber optic connections, with each type being used where it works best.

In terms of technology, adding fiber optics to a copper-based data communication system requires a transmitter, the fiber optic cable, and a receiver. Even though converting between electric signals and light might seem complex, fiber optic converters are generally simple to use and hassle-free in operation. Good converters are completely auto-sensing and self-adjusting, without the need for manual settings.

Also note that fiber optic converters can handle both single-mode and multi-mode. Single-mode systems use a single strand of fiber for distortion-free, high-speed long distance communication whereas multi-mode cables use less expensive multi-strand fibers that are a bit more prone to signal distortion. Each cable type requires the proper transceivers.

The point is that a lot of the limitations of RS232, RS422, RS485 and even USB and Ethernet communication systems can be addressed by including fiber optics. All the technology is freely available, and the required converters are inexpensive and mature.

TISHITU (Part-1/2 Analog to Digital Converter 0804 ) LM-35 Temperature sensor with uc 8051.

An analog-to-digital converter (abbreviated ADC, A/D or A to D) is a device that converts a continuous quantity to a discrete time digital representation. An ADC may also provide an isolated measurement. The reverse operation is performed by a digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Typically, an ADC is an electronic device that converts an input analog voltage or current to a digital number proportional to the magnitude of the voltage or current. However, some non-electronic or only partially electronic devices, such as rotary encoders, can also be considered ADCs. The digital output may use different coding schemes. Typically the digital output will be a two's complement binary number that is proportional to the input, but there are other possibilities. An encoder, for example, might output a Gray code. Response type Most ADCs are linear types. The term linear implies that the range of input values has a linear relationship with the output value. Some early converters had a logarithmic response to directly implement A-law or μ-law coding. These encodings are now achieved by using a higher-resolution linear ADC (eg 12 or 16 bits) and mapping its output to the 8-bit coded values. Sampling rate The analog signal is continuous in time and it is necessary to convert this to a flow of digital values. It is therefore required to define the rate at which new digital values are sampled from the analog signal. The rate of new values is called the sampling rate or sampling frequency of ...

Simplified Design of V/F Converters shows how to design and experiment with V/F converters, both voltage-to-frequency and frequency-to-voltage. The design approach here is the same one used in all of John Lenk's best-selling books on simplified and practical design. Throughout the book, design problems start with guidelines for selecting all components on a trial-value basis, assuming a specific design goal and set of conditions. Then, using the guideline values in experimental circuits, the desired results are produced by varying the experimental component values, if needed.

If you are a working engineer responsible for designing VFCs, or selecting IC converters, the variety of circuit configurations described here should simplify your task. Not only does the book describe converter-circuit designs, but it also covers the most popular forms of VFC ICs available. Throughout the book, you will find a wealth of information on VFC ICs and related components, including how to test and troubleshoot completed circuits.

Voltage Converters - Why Do We Need Voltage Converters?

!: Voltage Converters - Why Do We Need Voltage Converters?

[if ]
[endif]

Commonly the word Voltage Converter is the name which is given to the device which acts as a switch which is in one location to control the voltage of gadgets which are in another location through power outlets. In the whole world most of the electrical outlets which produce alternating current with single phase will supply the voltage at 100 to 125 volts or 210 to 230 volts. The use of the Voltage converters is that they convert the voltage from 110 volts to 220 volts and 220 volts to 110 volts. Both the operations also can be done by some voltage converters.

The voltage converters are usually always sold with the with the plug at the end. Physical compatibility is also provided with the plugs as well.

Many methods are available for converting the voltage. A transformer is used to decrease or increase the voltage for alternating current. The voltage converters which will be used for small electronic gadgets will normally have a transformer will drop the smaller voltages such as to 4.5 volts to 12 volts. It will create a full wave rectifier which converts the alternating currents to the DC (direct current). Flattening the wave will be done by few additional Components. Few Components will contain only a transformer in the power supply which is external. That power supply will be with additional power in the gadget or a rectifier.

The voltage converters, which are sold for the usage in cars, have the DC outlets of 12 volts. The voltage converters don't necessarily come with transformer. Many a times, instead of a transformer, Zener diode is used, in order to bring down the DC voltage with huge loss of power. For the conversion of the alternating current the conversion of a low DC voltage to high voltage is required. Transformer usage is done for the increase in voltage. For the conversion of DC from AC, a conditioning circuit and a rectifier is used.

Two types of voltage transformers are available, namely the step up and step down voltage transformers. The conversion of a step up transformer is from 110 volts to 230 volts. The conversion of a step down transformer is from 230 volts to 110 volts. Many transformers will convert either ways. Voltage converters and transformers.

Throughout the world, voltage differs from country to country. The voltage level is either 220 volts or 110 volts. Plug sizes, plug holes and plug shapes also differ from country to country. Few countries such as in Canada and USA have the voltage of 120 volt with the frequency 60 Hz, while the others have the frequency of 50 Hz and the voltage of 220/240 volt. By using an appropriate voltage converter, this difference in voltages can be solved.
